Oak Grove Cemetery
Pleasant Township,
Franklin County, Ohio
Gravestone Photographs
Located on Alkire Road, three tenths of a mile east of Gardner Road (County 281, see map), Oak Grove Cemetery is the final resting place for many early pioneers of Pleasant township and is still in use. Several generations of some of those families can be found here, some very recent. The earliest stone dates back to 1830; the earliest that we have found so far is that of Charles Hunter who died in 1836 (see below). This cemetery is in excellent condition with very few toppled and broken stones visible. However, many early stones are so weather worn they are difficult or impossible to read. The cemetery is cared for by the Pleasant Township trustees: 5373 Norton Road, Grove City, Ohio 43123-9666; Phone: (614)877-3511.
