"There is a small cemetery near the Providence Presbyterian Church, on the land of J. H. P. Bouic; but few interments have been made there, and it is but little used." That brief entry is all the information to be found in The History of Union County, Ohio (W. H. Beers & Co., Chicago, IL 1883); appears in part V, page 341. Very little seems to have changed since that statement was written, though there is no sign of the church. This tiny cemetery doesn't even have a sign to tell people what the name is, but it is still very well cared for. When we arrived to photograph the cemetery there were two men mowing the grass in and around the cemetery, which is enclosed by chain link fence that is in excellent condition. This photographi inventory was done on September 27, 2009. Only a couple of stones that appeared in an earlier reading of the cemetery were no longer in evidence. The photos are listed in the order that they were taken. Gravestones:(Click on the underlined name to view the gravestone photograph)
