The patch of trees standing nearest the camera, just left of center, in the field shown above marks the location of Kilgore Cemetery. The cemetery is located south of the village of Newport and east of State Highway 38 (Washington-London Road). There is no public access to the cemetery so permission should be requested of the owner of the surrounding land before visiting the cemetery. The exact geographic coordinates are: Latitude - 39.816111N, Longitude - 083.463611W.

Photos on this page were contributed by Clayton Crandall, who tells us, "These [photographs] are all the John and Mary Hamm family. John migrated to Ohio from Maryland and owned this land back in the early 1800's."
