Baldwin Cemetery is located on southwest side of Yankeetown-Chenoweth Road, on the Madison-Fayette County line; mostly in Madison County. The earliest stone was that of Revolutionary War veteran and early Madison County pioneer, John Baldwin who died in April 18, 1820. Though this cemetery is obviously well cared for some stones have been so weatherworn that they are illegible and there are several broken stones.
This is a complete photographic inventory of the cemetery; all pictures were taken 20 August 2004. Most of the broken stones are in a pile on top of and around a partially burned tree stump.
