Gravestone Photographs

Thomas Seeds Cemetery is located on the west side of Hoover Road, 2.1 miles south of State Route 665 (London-Groveport Road) right at the Franklin-Pickaway County line.  Surrounded by corn fields this rural Franklin County cemetery is the final resting place for at least three Civil War veterans and one veteran of the War of 1812.  Officially established in 1855 it contains the gravestones of several, mostly children, who were buried at earlier dates.  Cared for by the Jackson Township Trustees the cemetery is exceptionally well kept and at some time several broken stones were repaired re-placed, though not necessarily in their original location.  Some stones are too weathered to be able to read them and the evidence would indicate that a few might have been broken beyond repair.  All remaining stones have been photographed and appear on this page.
