Gravestone Photographs

According to The Ohio Genealogical Society book, Ohio Cemeteries Addendum, (1998?), page 61, "Stones given to family since shopping center is planned for site."  The book also states that the earliest stone was dated 1829.  When we found the aerial photo of the site we discovered that no shopping center has been built and that, though most of the stones are gone, several remain as does the fence surrounding the cemetery.  None of the stones that remain are standing; some are leaning against the fence and some are laying broken on the ground.  This cemetery is difficult to find if you don't know exactly where it is.  It's located on the west side of Norton Road a little south of Sullivant Avenue.  There is an Ohio State Historical Marker a few blocks away on the corner of Sullivant Avenue and Westwoods Boulevard.

Update:  At Postle family reunion in August 2005 it was announced that the family had prevailed and that no shopping center will be built on the property.
