The Alton Cemetery was established in 1853 and is still an active cemetery.  It is located about a half mile north of West Broad Street (US-40) on the west side of Alton-Darby Creek Road.  The cemetery is maintained by the Prairie Township Board of Trustees and is in excellent condition.  Questions regarding interments should be sent to:
